I have alawys found personal projects to be a luxury. Something that I need to find time to work on, time that can very quickly be used up by the day job, the partner or just plain laziness.

I find the last one is the real killer. Even when I have the time, it can be an effort to pull out the laptop after a full days work and try to start on something new.

I find that even blogging can be too much effort - as seen by lack of posts over the past month. But I have suddenly found that I once again want to contribute to both my personal project and to my blog. The reason is simple, I spent an evening discussing a problem with a friend, someone who invigerates me and helped me find the enthusiasm that I had lost.

For me the key take away here, is the same as last time I felt this way, it.s never fun to work by yourself. Find collegues that are friends, friends that help you learn and most importantly friends that can make learning fun.

So to all those out there that do this for me, a big thank you. Hopefully I can return the favour soon.
